Unfortunately, that never happened, so I got locked out of the account for months and months. Unfortunately, upon attempting to log in, Instagram required to enter a verification code, which was supposed to be received on my email. Some backstory - I needed to regain access to my webpage account which was not used for some time and the previous admin has transferred the account to my email. If so, you might want to try my solution which worked. So, many are likely in a situation where they are not receiving emails from Instagram to reset password or verification codes to get back to your account.
